Fiber-optic cable OKM for installation by air-blowing.


Fiber-optic cable OKM is designed for installation by air-blowing in ducts microtubes.

  1. Central strength member – fiberglass reinforced plastic rod
  2. PE coating of rod
  3. Optical fiber
  4. SZ stranded PBT micro-loose tubes filled with hydrophobic gel
  5. Protective jacket
  6. * longitudinal watertightness of the cable is provided by a hydrophobic gel


Cable contains polymer tubes with optical fibers. Polymer tubes are SZ-stranded around FRP central strength member in PE-jacket. Interstice inside and between tubes is filled with hydrophobic filler. Cable core is wrapped by yarns. Outer jacket of high density polyethylene is imposed on the cable core.
