OKB-T cable

Fiber optic cable OKB-T armoured by galvanized steel wires for direct burial installation.


Cable is designed for installation in grounds of 1-3 groups, cable ducts, tunnels in case of high requirements of crush strength. OKB-T from flame retardant materials is designed for installation according to exclusive standards of fire safety.

Cable core is a tube. Optical fibers are placed inside the tube. Interstice inside cable core is filled with hydrophobic filler. An armour of galvanized steel wires is formed around cable core. Interstice between cable core and armour is filled with hydrophobic filler. An additional jacket of high density polyethylene is extruded over the armour. In case of exclusive standards of fire safety cable jacket is made of flame retardant halogen free (HF) compound. In case the number of fibers exceeds 12 ring marking is used. and/or bundling with identification yarns.

On customer’s request cable design can have following options:

  1. Selection of flame retardant material of outer jacket (halogen-free HF compound or self-extinguishing PE).
  2. Change of the standard color of polymer modules and fibers.
